Review on Bellari HA540: Unleashing Pure Class A Power for Superior Stereo Headphone Amplification by Sabrina Ross

I bought the Bellari HA540 after reading positive reviews from audiophiles, but you have to look for it! I don't know why this excellent tube headphone amp isn't more popular at head-fi and other likely places as it is one of the real deals in a quality amp for your high end headphones. Suffice it to say that I agree with the other reviewers here, it's a great choice, but you'll have to swap out the cheap handset that comes with it for something much better. I use Bellari with Grado PS500 and it goes together perfectly! This amp takes Grados to the next level with my best tube: a triple Mica Nos Mazda 5751 (expensive) and superlatives with a vintage RCA Blackplate 5751 as well as a Sylvania 7025 (around $30). You can't go wrong with 12ax7, but no, definitely not the way to go as reissued tubes don't sound as good. My other phones include the Sennheiser HD598 and AKG Q701 and they work great with this amp too.
