Lots of bass on amps

I can't understand the reviews saying the HA540 has weak bass. I've had it for 3 1/2 years now and have nothing but good things to say about it. It's warm, smooth and gives me all the bass I want and I'm the bassist.

This is a great headphone amp

This is a great headphone amp. I'm only giving 4 stars though because it really needs to come with the best 12AX7 bulb to really shine out of the box, even if it does increase the price depending on the bulb you choose. I upgraded it to a 1960's RCA NOS tube (new, old stock) and now I'm listening to Nirvana through my headphones!

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • boring packaging

Well done Bella! in home cinema

I work with headphones (Shure, Beyer, Sennheiser) and listen to my music and much more. I can say without hesitation that I am now hearing new details in music that I have heard 500 times! This product is a GEM - well designed, with input source options, yes. But above all it is the sound that opens my ears again. Well done Bella!

Headphone amplifier with natural sound.

Natural, warm and relaxed sounding headphone amp. If you replace the stock bulb with a better one or NOS, it will sound amazing. The standard handset sounds good. Level of detail, resolution, stage width and depth are about average. Pretty good output for basic to mid-level headphones. This is a hybrid design with a lamp in the pre-stage and a solid-state output stage. Overall a nice little case with good sound quality. If you're looking for hyper detail and soundstage, there's a better choice.

Bellari perfectly combines musicality and precision

I am very sensitive to music and have an HD 600. I find them tonally neutral so I wanted an amp that would add some warmth. This is the same amp. It adds warmth to the music without covering it with a blanket. Bellari perfectly combines musicality and precision. This is not a cheap Chinese tube headphone amp. This is a quality product made in the USA. The sound of this amp is soft and warm. There are other reasons why you should consider Bellari. Withstands resistances from 16-2000 ohms…

Insider tip among the best receivers and amplifiers

I bought the Bellari HA540 after reading positive reviews from audiophiles, but you have to look for it! I don't know why this excellent tube headphone amp isn't more popular at head-fi and other likely places as it is one of the real deals in a quality amp for your high end headphones. Suffice it to say that I agree with the other reviewers here, it's a great choice, but you'll have to swap out the cheap handset that comes with it for something much better. I use Bellari with Grado PS500 and…

Sounds good! - Home Audio

This is my first tube amp and I'm really impressed with the sound. I mainly play through my MP3 player with a 1/8" cable connected to DT990Pro 250ohm headphones. I've also tried various cheap bulbs, JJ 12AX7, JJ ECC832, Tungsol Reissue, Tungsol Goldpin, Ruby AC3 Select - they are all better than stock. Tube, but the Mullard 12AX7 reissue sounded the best to my ears. Gives really detailed sound (I could hear the difference between clapping and finger snapping in a disco track, never heard that…

You know it's good when fans of a character amp hate it

First I have to ask the question: What other headphone amp can beat this amp for $189 or less? the condition of the younger brother (HA543) of this amp as well. I was hoping this amp would have the same qualities but with lower noise levels. Well overall it works and seems to have more power to run my banks. Like HA543, its character is flat as a pancake, straight forward but not restrained, unlike Liquid Spark. (It also doesn't beat the Monolith LS, which is an engineering marvel for the…

Sweet, warm, juicy, quiet Noise threshold

This amplifier meets my requirements 100%. It would be great if you had a tube amp that cost several thousand dollars! This amp is built at an affordable price, yes! It shares a common look and feel with other Bellari products such as the phono stage. It's not cast aluminum, all inputs are on the back. Maybe creates a small ergonomic difficulty? Got to bend down to get the jack in, big deal. But FOR THE PRICE, this unit can produce great sound. Warms up analytical headphones very well. After a…
