Review on Dell U4320Q UltraSharp Business Warranty: πŸ’» Flicker-Free, LED, LCD, HD, IPS 4K Monitor by Michael Dominguez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Defect developed after 30 days

Edit: The RMA was a bit of a hassle due to ignorant support. But after convincing her to send it back, the replacement came the next day (amazing). The defective monitor was returned in the package that the replacement came in. I had to deliver an absolutely huge box to a UPS store to ship back, which wasn't easy. In any case, the new monitor was great, although it was also obviously returned/refurbished, with minor scratches and no "Dell" sticker on the front. . They moved the replacement warranty but I was unable to change the warranty start date to the purchase date or purchase an additional warranty. The software in macOS is a bit unfortunate, unfortunately I've decided not to use it. So an upgrade from 3 to 4 stars. I really like this monitor. First review: I love this monitor. It's absolutely massive. I've switched from an ultra-wide 2K 34-inch screen and the extra vertical real estate is really great for programming. The pixel density is almost identical: 110 ppi vs 103 ppi. In other tasks I feel quite disorganized, the windows are just randomly arranged because there is so much real estate on the screen. This is a strange problem, but not a serious one. I also really like that I only need one Thunderbolt cable to connect to the display and charge my MBP. This would have been an absolute 5 star rating except unfortunately for my defect right after the 30 day return policy and it only got worse. At least 2-3 times a day, the entire screen starts flickering, including the UI, until everything goes black. After a few hours of waiting, it works perfectly again. Running Dell's troubleshooting procedures does nothing. This happens with all inputs. I tried four different systems, many high quality video cables and a few power cables. Will be updated after I fill out the Dell RMA. Of the many Dell products I've owned over the years, including at least a dozen monitors, this is the first to have had any issues. Also, my monitor was out of warranty for more than six months, so be sure to buy from an authorized dealer if warranty is important to you. Even though mine is currently unusable, I still recommend this monitor. I would strongly recommend testing it thoroughly before the return period expires.
