Works more like a clarifying shampoo.

I've always liked Joico products but they don't advertise them. It should add "volume" to the hair, but not much. It removes any oil or anything from the hair, but does not add "volume". If you want to wash all modern products out of your hair, it works in a similar way to a clarifying shampoo.
