This tire replaces an old, rotted rear tire on a JD Zero Turn Mower. The tread pattern is almost identical to the Carlisle Turf Master tires that originally came with the car. The tire is heavy, has strong sidewalls, looks solid and has four layers. It was also relatively easy to install with a slick tire changer, some aerosol dishwashing detergent, and an assistant (an extra pair of hands). The tire came in a full size box which fitted perfectly. It arrived in excellent condition, ready for installation. It has not been twisted, curled, deformed or folded for shipping like other tires I have bought online, most of which are permanently deformed and cannot be mounted on a rim. profile, I noticed that the new tire grips the road much better in corners and spins less in reverse. Spinning old tires actually does a lot more damage to turf than traction on new tires when cornering. They seem to have a bit more lip on the tread edge than the Turf-Master, or maybe my original tires were just worn out; I do not know exactly? If so, would the higher shoulder profile explain the better traction? Durability will show over time but quality seems to meet or exceed expectations at this point. If this changes, I will let you know. If the new tire holds up well this season I'll probably order another one.
