This is a very good DVR. Video/audio quality is good, everything is very clear. I would probably compare it to the camera on the average 2015 phone. What is good. Without making any changes to the settings, the camera turns on and starts recording automatically as soon as I start the car (I leave it on, in the car all night), and it stops a few seconds after I turn the car off . . The camera has been fine at around 20 degrees all night for a few nights, so it's not particularly bothered by colder temperatures. I didn't want to test it at a lower level. This camera does not have an internal hard drive, so you NEED a microSD card to record. On the window, in my case, the plastics didn't click together and eventually melted the plastic a bit, which was too big to clip into the camera mount. Otherwise this camera is awesome! So far no problems.
