Review on 🖋️ Daveliou 19-Piece Deluxe Calligraphy Set for Beginners & Professionals – Includes Pens, Inks, Nibs, Case (Pink) by Jennifer Roberts

I was delighted with my new calligraphy set, lovely pink box containing 2 pens, 10 nibs (5 with sponge or tiny reservoir and finer nibs and 5 broad nibs), 4 small inkwells and pen holder. Let's start with the good. The handles look and feel strong and durable, and they're beautiful too. The box is nice and strong enough to store the set. All the fine tips work really well, I just LOVE using them. I received an email from a seller with information on pens and inks which was very helpful. Now everything is not so good. As expected, my kit did not come with an instruction manual. Although the seller's email was good, I really wish I had a little more detail. Now on to the wide springs, after a few tries following some guidelines I found online (e.g. cleaning and even slightly heating the springs). I still couldn't get it to work properly. After several hours of trying to use them, my results were mediocre. The shimmering purple ink, which I almost finished in under 2 hours trying to get the broad nibs to work, shows off its shimmer on the paper in random, jagged streaks. I'm not particularly attracted. There were a few droplets in the gold ink jar that didn't dissolve into the rest of the ink no matter how hard I shook the jar, making the color watery and very, very pale. I didn't like it either, but I'm not too concerned about ink. The quality of the pens is important to me. Overall I think this is a good set that would make a good gift. Now that I can get the wide tips to work just as well as the thin tips, I can say this is a wonderful purchase and would certainly make a great gift.
