At first glance, Reolink turned out to be a great solution with great features and quality hardware. Everything stopped here. Here are Reolink's comments after returning all the gear: 1. First of all, I don't have time to bother with your support's workarounds for every little feature that claims to be part of the system...UNACCEPTABLE! I have a full time job that takes 10 to 14 hours a day.2. From what I've found, your reference material is mostly scattered, disorganized, and incomplete. So the ongoing support workarounds... it's NOT ok to wait 24 hours for your team to reply only in CN.3 timezone. Features in the older version of the 7.x client application are NOT in the period of the newer 8.x version. This seriously degrades your system solution to a mere IoT toy rather than the serious security system presented... NOT AVAILABLE!4. Camera volume is enabled everywhere, enabled in the admin settings as stated on the blog, not in the worksheets, and there is no sound in ANY client application. Audio only to main console is NOT ALLOWED! There was a link there advising that I might have to go inside the camera myself to get sound - again UNAVAILABLE!5. Access to the SD cards installed in each of the 16 cameras was NOT found ANYWHERE on your website. In one of our conversations it was implied that I would need to create an FTP login to access the camera in order to gain access to… NOT AVAILABLE!6. Each of these features/functions should be built into your client application for all platforms so that the client can access them at their own pace and on their device. This can easily be achieved by offering two switchable application modes on the fly, one of which is simply a camera view with minimal camera-based controls. The second is EXPERT mode, which provides more detailed information to control camera settings. Both modes must be consistent with an administrator account and simple view must be consistent with a standard user account. This is NOT the case... Logging in as ADMINISTRATOR via the client application makes no real difference to a GENERAL user account. On a positive note, I found Reolink's hardware to be of high quality and if EVERY customer had the intended functionality in full, it would outperform all its competitors, as I initially thought based on the information provided. It is very sad that what you say and what you actually deliver do not match. If they were, we wouldn't have any problems. Currently, your device development capabilities far exceed the ability of your business operations to maintain this level of quality in software, documentation and general global support. I would like to add that their support team is very nice and helpful. Too bad because I had high hopes.
