It took two attempts to get the dog outside in these boots. Now he just lies there while I put them on. They appear to protect his feet from direct contact with chemical salt and ice. However, I notice that mud and water get into the boots through the side holes. His feet don't stay dry, but wet feet are not my main concern. The sleeves are sufficiently padded and the Velcro fasteners still hold up well. He can even use it to chase balls. They don't bother his dewclaws. It took more than a few tries to figure out how tight to pull the straps to keep them in place. If you happen to have a dog that rolls on its back, lifts its paws up and holds them there for 10 minutes, then yes, easy. I basically followed Ultra Paws' instructions to keep giving him treats while trying on paws. I'm excited to see how well they perform when we hit the trails this spring.
