Review on πŸš— Enhance Your Ride with Genuine Mopar P4510854 Stage-1 Performance Lowering Spring, (Set of 4) by Francis Vasquez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Extremely hard ride for minimal camber.

The fall is low but I don't give less stars because it's what I was looking for. I've dropped a lot of cars but didn't want to drop this one too much because it's a daily driver. So if you're looking for a big drop like you get on other aftermarket springs, you might not like the soft drop, but that was fine with me. What I don't like is the very hard ride. Trembles horribly, throbs hard on moderate bumps. I took it back to the installer (free) and then also to the dealer (cost me $$$) to see if there was anything wrong with the install and even checked the fender trim. I've never had such a drastic difference between already factory sport springs (stock) and lowered suspension springs - harder yes - but it was day and night - and for these only "soft" drops they were insanely hard. Now I'm paying to have them removed and for now going back to the factory and spending $$$ on it - that's how bad the ride is. Addendum: According to the undercarriage shop who eventually removed them and reinstalled the stock for me, they have stated that they do NOT believe they are compatible with 4WD vehicles and that is why they are so stiff. They have stated that the actual drop they generate on a 4WD vehicle is over 2 inches, which is much more than the advertised 1 inch drop that they claim to offer. This could certainly be why they were so damn hard (let me stress, this is a REALLY HEAVY ride on the 2018 Charger GT AWD, absolutely TERRIBLE)

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled
