Do not try to remove it. Followed the instructions to the letter, given something. It will not return to its original size and is crooked. So I contacted RUKKET directly. They sent me instructions on how to fix this problem, which again I followed closely. Something bent and turned over in the bushings, and as a result, the mesh now does not stand at all. I believe the hinge holding the spring steel together wasn't properly secured, allowing it to rotate freely, causing the spring to find its smallest position. Tension leading to the compression it is currently in. I can feel something moving and rubbing at the joint through the bushing. I am currently awaiting further guidance and/or support from RUKKET. They don't seem to respond to voicemail very quickly. Will be updated as events progress. UPDATE: The next day I received an email with a direct number and name, John, to call. We discussed and he suggested an immediate replacement. Since I was/am against spring steel, he replaced it with their Haack net, which consists of tent poles and bungee cord nets, with a few pegs. Technologies that should make every tourist feel at home. It arrived in 4 business days. I'm impressed with the quality of the webbing and sleeves on both products, but I've since spoken to some friends who have had issues with spring steel products from different companies, so maybe the technology needs to be a little more mature? I am now a very happy golfer and would recommend any of their other net products. I would give the HAACK network 5 stars.
