I haven't ridden in ten years and needed new gear. I bought this helmet because I wanted something light and comfortable. What a difference from the helmets of the past. In the past, riding was excruciating due to headaches caused by large, heavy, and uncomfortable helmets. I always wore a new helmet to get around but hated the idea of no protection. I rode this helmet for several hours yesterday. So light and comfortable! This doesn't completely eliminate the "mushroom head" but is a good alternative for comfort, protection and good looks. Highly recommended.
