Replacing this part requires some semi-specialized tools, but there's nothing here that can't be accomplished with a little time and effort. Restoring a near-new cleaning capacity on my Dyson DC14 while saving over $400 on a new vacuum purchase makes this an easy task. I didn't purchase the recommended accessories (belt hook and locking clip) but I can see how it can help if you're uncomfortable battling and twisting your fingers with newer, much tighter drive belts. If your vacuum has "lost" suction and you can physically stop the spinning brushes with very little effort, you need to replace this clutch. The speed of the brush will come back with a vengeance and the suction seems to be increasing as well.
