I’m not a medical professional, and my last first aid class was many years ago, but my research tells me that this kit contains the most essential tools needed to contain bleeding in case of trauma, based on current best practices. It’s based on the needs of the military in dealing with trauma from gunshot or explosives, but it’s also appropriate for injuries form auto accidents, storm damage, and similar events. If you hunt, I’d recommend keeping one in your backpack, and if you participate in shooting sports it might be wise to keep one in you range bag as well. Mine is going in the first aid kit I keep in my car.
