I don’t think this soap it moisturizing but it’s not super drying either. It does leave a slightly tacky residue; almost feels like soap residue even though I make sure to rinse off well- maybe oatmeal, maybe calamine. Not sure.It has a very slight cooling effect, it’s likely the eucalyptus but it doesn’t smell like eucalyptus. There’s a subtle herbal scent when the bar is dry but when wet and lathering, there’s no fragrance.It’s an ok bar, I just wish it was more moisturizing. The residue left

I was totally skeptical about buying this product, but it seriously works! Hives are awful and terribly uncomfortable when they itch. This immediately calmed the itch. It did nothing for the actual rash, but all I needed/wanted was a break from scratching my arms off. Good product.

Nothing new about using calamine soap to help relieve the pain of itching skin. I suggest having this product in your home medicine supplies – especially during summer months. I bought this type of soap for the first time to help prevent poison ivy. I work out in the yard and always seem to get into some. I washed with this all over my body except my face. The bar only lasted two weeks. It did make a nice enough lather and did not dry out my skin(and I have sensitive skin). It also worked to calm down about 60 bug bites I got one evening. I just reordered a second bar to have on standby. I wish it was less expensive but it worked for me!

Of course, now that I have a calamine soap, no one in the house is having any skin issues. It's a nice genereal cleaning. soap I grew up with good ol' calamine lotion, and remember being totally covered it (along with my sisters) one summer. This soap did nothing for me. It provided no itching relief what so ever. Waste of money. The calamine lotion works better. Lesson learned.

I ordered this soap to keep on hand for when someone in my family is experiencing itchy skin for whatever reason.This soap has great ingredients and all are so soothing on the skin.The bar itself is a good size and should last a good long time. This seems to be a nice gentle soap, but unfortunately it doesn't help with my itchy, uncomfortable face. I had a bad reaction to a mask I was wearing, and was hoping this soap would help. It didn't, but I plan it use it on other parts of my body.

I was looking for a fast and effective itch relief after my insect repellent failed miserably. As a result, I was attacked by a swarm of hungry mosquitoes while working outside. I've had worse things happen, but having 70 bites on my skin itching simultaneously isn't exactly fun. So I tried the soap. My husband developed a systemic rash from a new medication. The soap helped somewhat, but due to the nature of the rash, it required a lot of other interventions as well. I would definitely try it again on poison ivy rash or mosquito bites next summer.
