Review on VTech VCS702 ErisStation Conference Technology by Rick Rogers

Bought this phone to test as a replacement for Polycoms that have their infamous "I can't turn down the volume" error. The phone works fine, but we wanted to know if we could use the existing installed Polycom Ethernet-like network cable with the new VTech phone. Google didn't give an answer. Revain recently introduced live chat product support and I tried it out today. I spent a few hours rephrasing AI or ESL, which was a simple problem, and never got a satisfactory answer. I believe that "Kathleen" had multiple chats at the same time and couldn't support them. We found the answer elsewhere. The power cables for both are standard Ethernet cables, but the Polycom cable has a slight protrusion on the RJ-45 connectors to prevent users from plugging their power adapter into a real Ethernet port. You can use a Polycom cable if you remove the rib. Revain has a huge selection and fast shipping. I've also never had a problem returning or replacing items within the 30 day period. No questions asked and UPS takes it back. They also send replacements instead of waiting for yours. But don't worry about their product support chat. waste of time.
