All the power needed to run the aerator in our pond. We use it to power one of the four aerators at the bottom of our 10-15 foot pond. a deep dirt pond replacing a dead rotary piston pump that we had previously used there for several years. All of the pumps we have used previously have been rebuilt from several other applications. it's a dealership air pump, another is an airbrush air compressor, and another is a medical exhaust pump [salvaged from a hospital trash can]. This pump has two advantages over them: 1) It has significantly fewer moving parts and in particular no rotating bearings which in our experience are the components most likely to fail on these pumps when used in a durable long term requirement for urgent service. Unlike the other pumps we use which were mainly intended for intermittent work and only really used because they were either free or cheap and readily available. It took us several weeks to search, read and compare all the pumps available. on Revain and E-Bay to see which pumps offer the best combination of performance/flow and cost and have been found reliable by previous buyers. and/or websites with pet products that we have researched as too light or extremely expensive for the same air performance. The biggest challenge was comparing all the myriad ways that advertisers reported pump performance, from GPH to LPM to everything.
