. Water for your camper or similar situations. It does a decent cleaning job.

This is the standard for drinking water filtration for your RV or similar situation. It does a pretty good job of purifying camping drinking water, which can contain hard minerals that can build up over time and wreak havoc on your water supply. The water tastes decent from someone who mainly drinks filtered water at home and bottled water on the go. One filter should be enough for "one season" camping. If your score is above average, consider changing your filter more often. I would assume this would be common sense. This double package makes this offer cheaper. Remember that it's better to change more often than less often to avoid more costly repairs. Again, for this reason alone I will always have a spare on hand. I've also read about issues with these leaks over time. I'm on my 5th or 6th trip for my newest filter after paying attention and I haven't seen this thing leak on both ends yet. If it's leaking, check the o-rings on the filter and hose. I use this product not only at full load, but also when filling fresh/drinking water tanks. I usually install this on a faucet so filtered water also flows through my fresh water hoses. So it gets screwed on and off a bit. I think an average/part-time camperman with 5 or 6 trips a year is about average (maybe more) to give some context. Some argue that they clog up too quickly. I say change them. There is always a chance that the water source will be pumped from the well and many minerals will be filtered out. Based on this post I haven't seen any problems with clogging or water pressure. Overall I would recommend this product as the minimum filter for your RV needs. rather pleads for large-scale filter systems. They filter better and last much longer. I find these larger options are best for those who use water constantly and don't store their RV for long periods of time. The reason for this is that this product contains an additive that prevents bacteria from building up in the filter. This means if any water is left in these filters between uses, it will prevent anything from growing inside them. Larger filters don't always have this ability, so you may need to detach and dry them to prevent this. I'm sure they have filtering options available, but then you have to deal with maintenance issues and additional costs. In this price range, it is worth simply replacing this product inexpensively.
