Filters the water well but we found plastic particles in the faucet when we cleaned it. We used this product on our water filter RV and it matched our hose horribly as well. I needed this to water my garden. I attached it to the end of a hose and connected my irrigation lines to the end of my water filter and it was that simple. Don't forget to attach it to the end of the hose and let the water run until it runs clear. There was a significant amount of carbon that escaped when I built the mine.
