I needed this to water my garden. I attached it to the end of a hose and connected my irrigation lines to the end of my water filter and it was that simple. Don't forget to attach it to the end of the hose and let the water run until it runs clear. There was a significant amount of carbon that escaped when I built the mine. I don't want it running in my tap water or in my irrigation lines to possibly clog them. I reckon with just 2 watering cycles of 10 minutes per day this should be enough for a long time. All of my plants seem healthy and happy and growing like wildfire. Note: I just wanted to make sure I rid my garden of chlorine
