Used as a hair conditioner it definitely works as a conditioner, for me 2 small shower applications works better than 1 large to get the desired effect. It works for me, but I always try natural things, not what the crowd uses, so it depends on what you're looking for. If you want to "build" your own hair care routine, do it. If you are used to buying bulk items at the grocery store, remember that this is a completely different experience.
