This wheel: vacuum cleaner and floor care products

My pet Roomba (530) started to move a few inches and then stopped. The right wheel was stuck in the top position, presumably from rubbing against the bodywork as there wasn't as much play on the right side as there was on the left. I've tried cleaning it with silicone spray, making sure the bolts are tight and everything fits properly, then bought a new wheel as a last resort. I got a replacement battery beforehand as the original battery wouldn't charge and after a bit of soldering replaced the sensors to solve the dreaded 8 beep problem (I can afford the sensors and I can solder; I can't afford a new Roomba , especially when parts starts coming out after three years - oops - out of warranty! cat and scaring the dogs. The replacement was *very* easy, there is a video on the net of replacing the right wheel on this model. Anyone can make this swap with a screwdriver and instructions to save money the wheel is one piece so it's very difficult to swap out a part rather than the whole unit the whole unit isn't as good as a new car but is probably one of the most expensive Parts If your Roomba is still under warranty, check the status of *all* repairs - despite the Roomba's popularity with DIY enthusiasts, their opinion seems to be that you don't need it at all should not be repaired. Wheel. It gets the job done in an expensive way.
