I've worn western belts my whole life and this was my favorite on the Revain list. I didn't know the company. The belt arrived yesterday, but instead of a latch near the buckle that allows you to change buckles, this belt had four screws. Since I wanted to add my own buckle, I undid the screws and found that the strap is actually two pieces. The belt body is long, but the entire separate buckle section is made of leather about 1 1/2 inches long, which attaches to the rest of the buckle with screws and is usually closed with a leather belt loop keeper next to the buckle. I was able to install the new buckle, but it was almost impossible to reinstall the four screws, which were two different lengths, and I apparently managed to snap one of them off in the process. I suspect most people use more than one buckle, which is almost impossible with this belt, and I wouldn't even recommend doing what I did as it turned out to be extremely difficult. I would go for a well-known brand with traditional buttons near the buckle. which simplifies the exchange.
