To be honest I don't dislike the new version. Some improvements have been made to the design. They added a multi-light frame around the main light source. Makes you very visible if you will. They also added a battery indicator. This can be very useful on long journeys or in situations where you need to know how much battery you have. There is another future that has been improved. It's a taillight! The taillight on/off switch has been relocated and better sealed. This will prevent moisture from getting into the light. That's great light. I would recommend this light to anyone who needs light.
