Great fun! The fabric is exactly the same as the shiny fabric of the skater skirt; definitely not flimsy, not stiff, nice movement and smooth finish. I know the glitter will wash off over time. I haven't found a way to prevent this. The pockets are deep enough for a phone but since the fabric is quite loose I wouldn't trust the pockets if I'm doing something active like running. I usually wear medium, I ordered large and they fit perfectly. I don't want my waist to get any tighter and my very muscular thighs to shrink to death, which I appreciate. I ordered the red ones and what I received looks exactly like the red shorts in the photo. I bought them for the team relay so I plan on running in them. I wouldn't wear them without a cropped lining as the seams are definitely not made for athletic wear (they will chafe). The inseam is short enough that I don't think the fabric will stick to itself while running.
