Good Headroom Turtle Tank Filter

I have a 75 gallon turtle tank that I have had a hard time keeping clean. I originally had 2 large standard double waterfall carbon filters that I had to clean a few times a week which never served the purpose despite weekly water changes. So I did a little research to look for a filter that would work for my application as I have about 6 inches of the tank empty for the turtle to come out and sunbathe without running away. This filter sits on the bottom and has adequate suction and suction power. Easy setting. My tank was very dirty when I plugged it in. The water cleared up quickly. I've had it about 3 months and decided to change the filters as the tank was very dirty when I first plugged it in. Easy to clean and still had plenty of suction when cleaning. It should be a few more months before he keeps the tank clean. It remains only to suck and change the water. I hope this helps if you have a turtle or aquarium with an air gap at the top and don't know which product to choose. I would buy this or fx6.
