Two purchases, two failed units

When I first bought this item you could tell the movement was already broken. Maybe it was a return from a previous customer? However, this did not work and the hands could not be placed on the curved shaft coming from the movement. I received a replacement a few days later and it took about two days before the battery completely drained. Tried it with some fresh Duracell batteries with the same result. Two buys, two misses :(
