Review on πŸ“» Black NMO-Mounted Tram-Browning BR-140-B CB Antenna, 26.5MHz–30MHz by Lisa Jenkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great little antenna for the money

When I first hooked up this antenna I was discouraged. The SWR was over 3.5 on all channels. I plan to use this primarily on 11m CB but was hoping it would expand to 10m as well. It's not wide enough for that. I looked at the chart and it suggested the cut I'm assuming since it's also rated for up to 12 meters of coverage. Let me just say this whip is long. I think I cut 2.5 inches, about 1/2 inch at a time. The SWR is now 1 or less on all channels, almost perfect. I like that everything is black, it seems to work well and is pretty quiet with very little engine noise or static electricity. My only complaint is that it has a hiss at highway speeds over 70 mph. I'll try to do a few things to calm him down. I installed it on the edge of the hood so others might have a different experience. All in all I'm happy.
