2002 Sportster 1200 Caution

If you are buying this for 2003 and earlier Sportster XL models, be careful. There may be clearance issues. A quick google search will reveal that many people have experienced the problem of right strut/rear pivot wheel bolts rubbing against tires. I was able to take a picture of the gap to fix it, I reversed the bolts, left the nut on the outside of the bike and cut it off. I've taken the bike for a test ride and there's no sign of rubbing yet, but I'll let you know if there is. The kit comes with an adjustment wrench, and that's rubbish. However, these kicks look fantastic. Drops the bike really hard. Installation is painless, aside from the headache of turning the bolts inside out to avoid tire rub. I would consider this a sacrifice in comfort compared to stock dampers. TLDR: Pros: Looks good Easy installation Cons: Ground clearance issues Loss of power Harder to drive Looks 1000x better and has improved my handling.
