Fog is bad and not for Asians or flatter faces with a wide/flat nose

I'm half Chinese so my face isn't even as flat as a Japanese or Korean. This mask didn't work for me and now my return date has passed and I have a useless mask that I can't use! I took them on my first dive in Bali and it was an awful experience. The mask keeps fogging up and yes I used toothpaste to remove the film. I then used a product made specifically for defogging goggles - no luck, they still fog up and I was constantly wasting a lot of air trying to clean them. The silicone around the nose is also quite stiff and it's actually very hard to pinch my nose to balance. I ended up switching to the masks of one of the dive companies they use to train students in open water and it was light years better. It didn't fog up and the silicone was nice and soft so even though my nose was flatter I was able to get a good pinch to line it up. Overall it appears to be a good set and the handset is top notch. Mask fogging is an issue and will likely go away with more use, but I'm not sure. If you are Asian or have a flatter/wider face and a flatter nose I would not recommend these.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I won't say anything
