My Oxo apple slicer broke after a short while while cutting an apple. The inner metal ring split along the seam and the entire metal cutting part popped right out of the plastic part of the handle. Even before the Oxo apple slicer fell apart, it wasn't my favorite kitchen tool. The diameter of the core section was not large enough to cover the cores of most apples. I always had to touch up the apple slices with a knife to remove some areas with seeds inside. The slicer invariably stopped without slicing the trailing end of each apple. I thought about asking Oxo for a replacement but decided to forget it. Don't get a replacement of the same poor quality.
