Review on ZAGG Pro Keys Wireless Keyboard and Detachable Case - Compatible with Apple 10.9-inch iPad Air (4th Gen) - iPad 10.9: A Perfect Match! by Trae Joubert

I'm a video producer and have long wanted an iPad Air to take with me into the field (instead of the much more expensive MacBook Pro that I use to edit all my work). So I knew I needed a keyboard case that would allow me to use my iPad as a laptop. Also, I bought a teleprompter for the iPad (which doesn't include an iPad), so my new iPad had to do double duty and also serve as the text source for the teleprompter - meaning the keyboard case had to be easily removable. So I searched and searched for detachable iPad Air keyboard cases but couldn't find one that I liked that still protects my iPad when the keyboard is removed. Some folio-style cases had a detachable keyboard, but then you had a spare keyboard laying around, and a leftover iPad folio case would be pretty bulky to use with a teleprompter. Then I found this Zagg case. This is PERFECT for my needs. It really looks like TWO cases - a keyboard case and an iPad case made of "rubberized polycarbonate". The keyboard is integrated into the clamshell case, so it feels solid and reliable when typing. The magnets that hold the iPad in two tilted positions are strong and secure - and when you separate the iPad from the keyboard case (easily enough to pry them apart), the sides, corners, and back of the iPad are still there protected (instead of front) with a rubberized cover that is constantly held on the iPad. It calms me down when I use an iPad with a teleprompter. Is it a bit heavy, especially compared to the iPad "Air"? Sure, but that's not a problem for me; it is more important to be strong and durable. And it costs less than an Apple keyboard case. Victory, victory, victory. Thanks Zagg (and Revane)!
