Review on Car GPS Navigator Android 10 by Jesse Hughes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, fast shipping and worth the money.

I was very cautious when considering using an aftermarket head unit for my 2010 BMW 335i E93 CIC N54 but I am very glad I bought it. However, the photos and descriptions were a bit wrong. What I mean is that these devices come with Android 10 operating system and customized software so the user interface may differ from the picture as they make so many of these types of devices and customize them for so many different brands and models. (mainly European / foreign cars). If you look at the European Revain website, you will see that there are many types of units there. But this one was of particular interest to me because of the Apple Carplay interface. Once you have this device installed (or pay for it to be installed) simply plug in your iPhone and you can use the steering wheel controls without having to touch your phone to listen to music. Also, the Apple Carplay interface looks really good. This can easily be installed with basic knowledge of automotive electronics and watching YouTube videos. There is quite a lot to see there and it takes 2-3 hours in total. Or just pay at your local dealership or ask the Geek Squad to do it. I had some problems with the device. It only has 1 RCA connector for video input. They advertise that you can adjust the front and rear cameras, but that's not possible. So, I only installed a backup camera, but when I put reverse gear, the video was all messed up. I just had to go into the settings and change it to a different type and now it works fine. Also, the original BMW menu was blocked by the side menu of the new device. But I had to go back into the settings to get it working. All this was done with the help of the seller. They will correspond with me and help me with any questions I have. In general, the money is worth it, the device is satisfied. Oh one more thing, when I installed the unit myself I had to get a male to male audio cable, they didn't supply one. This is necessary because you need to connect the new device to the center console's AUX input so that it can be played through the car speakers.
