We have 9 dogs and a bathing day is always a test. A few dogs like to bathe, but the rest run and hide. I was looking for a good "cleaning" brush to quickly wash our dogs and get lather on their skin. This is especially important because we live in a rural area surrounded by forests, so ticks and fleas are common. Our dogs love being brushed with this brush even though they don't like bathing. While it's still difficult to find them to bathe in, once we've caught them, keeping them in the bath is easier! Thanks to the comfortable grip, cleaning is easier and faster. Soft rubber allows you to contour the brush on the body. God we get a lot of dirt from them! My reason for 4 stars is that some dogs have longer coats and it is more difficult for them to get to their skin. However, it's hard to do, let alone try, to wash them anyway. So 5 stars for short haired dogs and 3 stars for long haired ones.
