EasyPop has one serious disadvantage: it has no overheating protection. If you get distracted and don't, the popcorn will burn, the stove will burn, and the plastic parts will melt. Cuisinart has a replacement cooktop on their website for the same price as a new popper at Revain. The simple solution is here. We have experienced this fatal (human) error by being distracted.
