Review on πŸ” YEDEMC JW3306D Optical Identifier: Accurate Optical Identification in 800-1700Nm Range by Bim Cook

Not so bad for the cheap

So far, so good. He's quite tall. Therefore, it is not always easy to position it for reading. Especially if the fibers are short or someone has poorly or assembled the body and tray.

Pros
  • Shows the direction of the signal and the power in the fibre, shows the relative power of the core. (Macrobends are the exploitation of fiber bending losses when the optical signal is weak). The cladding of some fibers is too thick or some light does not pass through easily (e.g. 850/1300nm) making it difficult to measure. The easiest wavelength to measure is 1310/1550 nm. If you want to measure power accurately, choose a power meter.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
