I am giving positive feedback primarily because of the excitement and search and research prior to purchase, and then compilation and business, expectations, reviews and USPS, all tracking creates this climatic grand reality of what the end product is. All this leads to a tendency to greatly exaggerate a good product and greatly spoil a bad one. i hated it Beyond hate. If it wasn't for the refund I would have thrown it at the wall. I had a $20 Remington version and wanted the same product out of nostalgia. Although I vary greatly from the different options available that are not common since I usually don't know what I want and what features are not important to me and what if I like them and what I need (useful information). I was torn. Between the new model of hair rollers, the old hair rollers that I've owned to the end (they burned down with all my stuff almost a year ago in a fire where I lost everything), and all the newer models on the market. Immediately the nostalgia for my old curlers was heavy and was so close to buying them but the new curler seemed practical but particularly problematic and overrated so it was ruled out and although the nostalgia was heavy it also reinforced everything, what I had lost, and seemingly normal item, albeit my clothes I don't own or choose (best gift me clothes and gifts from local people), I feared that the nostalgia would ruin the normality of the old item putting an end to the normality of my current situation. So I hesitated between two separate Reminton models and this one. 1 model was excluded because all the curlers were large and I prefer to use the smaller ones as they create tighter curls initially but wear out quickly to fit and get long lasting curls which I find much nicer than fine curls within an hour , which disappear in an hour (my hair resists curling, so of course I'm obsessed with curling) and another model because there weren't enough large curlers and the material the curler itself was made of didn't match that model and that Remington model was identical, so I think the heat distribution and damage is excellent. Specifically, this model was the only available model that I could find that not only had a range of most sizes, 4 different ones, but catered to curls. seemed like a smart option. It arrived with a broken clip. I mean a broken clip and a randomly dangling spring. Obviously the shipping covered it up a bit crudely, but the clips are packaged in a ridiculous way that it's almost obvious they're going to be victims. I wouldn't even bother or complain if the product was good because I'm tired of clips and when I bought this product I saw pins and clips sell. But then. It took forever to heat up. And even when heated, it didn't seem to get warm. I mean slight heat, but little if any, and only towards the end, and this after considerable heating time has already been allotted and used. I'm nothing if I'm not careful. Okay, that was off-putting and combined with other issues it became annoying but manageable. But then. There were clips. I couldn't handle the clips for a long time. Then I hated clips. My god they're awful and big, so bulky and uncomfortable, and I miss the days of simple pins. Although they are light they take up quite a bit of space and make it a disaster to constantly have to install the whole product as they are dirty and there are quite a lot of them so they have to be displayed and then out of a drawer or out of a drawer for use away from another location. such a setup that is not suitable for my free living environment. (Chaos Free. Well, I'll try anyway!) Not ideally wide, and they came out like a good deal. Cheap. I said so, cheap and tasteless. Now I want things to be cheap but not really work as they are and look as they are. After figuring out which side of the clip extends considerably on the other side to really hold them on which side of the reel, so many clips fell out before I realized that this was probably a standalone comedic episode that I was frankly disappointed and all issues eventually went from noticed to off-putting to annoyed and grandiose to aggravated, which is still way better than the incredible vision of red rage that had me banging everything against the wall (thanks for the fixes and Revain's simplicity and control, really). The pens provided can be bought and used so not only is it a deal breaker but broke instantly with space and storage limitations, odd functioning due to the symmetrical and cheap design I think this product was made for. Still, I kept hoping that, contrary to common sense, a miracle would work. After completing the first attempt, the results were zero. On my second attempt to ensure that I did not receive an unnecessary refund due to a hasty decision, I found that the braces and normal use and application of the product were more normal. He would still drown, but there wasn't much heat. They gave a nice curl when used with small sections of hair but I curled up from the section of hair instead of down as usual and couldn't keep this up with just bobby pins and went back to curling it down. The curl wasn't as attractive or obvious from the root and took a little time to form well. Also, although with the same products I've used with mine (brand names or similar options listed together in most stores, although not identical products of course) only the smaller products could be curled perfectly and, worst of all, everything collapsed within an hour. and after two hours it was not even noticeable that I had done anything. For all of this I declare that this is a waste of time, money and frustration. Do not do that. Not. Save yourself some time. I haven't given 1 bad review out of at least 20 yet, but here it is. My bad rating. And my god, this product is terrible. Save 20 and choose a Remington model. Or dare to try new curlers. Or just brush your hair like you normally would and pretend you've curled it before because after an hour of curling you'll get the same result.
