I may have used too much cotton but this brand doesn't hold enough pressure for the rich cotton to really bond to the nail to help with nail polish removal. I do manicures at home all the time (since I was a kid) and have been looking for something nicer than the "foil wrap" method to remove gel or nail polish. One of the few times I've had a manicure I've used this type of clip and thought it was brilliant! And that pressure was indeed very strong! While not a salon brand, I was surprised at how weak it was. I'll try again with even less cotton (I usually break the cotton swab into smaller pieces before applying the acetone). quite a valuable item if indeed it holds up well enough to remove the polish in a reasonable amount of time.
