I found that while the Oggi Jumbo Party Cocktail Shaker closed properly when shaken, it was difficult to get the entire shaker to open cannot be covered after use, making it unusable for drinks when you need ice and other shaker contents in glasses. (The smaller top strainer can be removed after use, so it can only be used for liquid, strained beverages, not beverages where the entire contents are intended to be poured into glasses.) The problem seems to be the mold connections. An area of sealing that lacks the slight taper to allow the entire top of a properly designed shaker to be removed after use, even when very cold from a mix of alcohol and ice. In the Oggi Jumbo Party Cocktail Shaker this joint freezes and cannot be removed except by thawing or using a hammer/metal blade to knock out the frozen joint so the entire top can be removed. Good price but better save money and buy a shaker that actually works as it should.
