This is a well-made no-frills USB-C to HDMI Adapter. It comes in an anodized aluminum case. The case is smooth on all sides and feels cool. No internal fan; The aluminum housing acts as a heat sink and keeps the inside pleasantly cool. The documentation that came with the adapter states that it supports resolutions up to 8k. I don't have an 8k source and display so I can't confirm that. However, I was playing 4k UHD and 1080p content through my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 on a Vizio PX series LCD TV. I can report that there was no lag or stuttering, the audio was in sync and the picture quality was excellent. My only concern is that it is an inactive pass-through adapter. As a result, your tablet or mobile device cannot be charged while it is in use. As long as you fully juice before using, you'll be fine.
