I've always wanted a decent night vision scope and the good ones tend to be overpriced and the cheaper ones I've tried haven't impressed me. With so many positive reviews I decided it was time to get my own and I have no regrets. After some testing and playing with it, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have a field across the street from my house and there are no streetlights nearby so I figured this would be a good test on a cloudy night with some rain. I checked my backyard first which is about 75 feet and saw the tree line with no problem. So I didn't expect that there would be a house on the other side of the field, across the street and behind the fence. I could see the fence about 200-250 meters away, but I couldn't see the house behind the fence. I was very surprised to even see the fence. A friend has night vision binoculars that cost about twice as much and we can't see the fence so I'm very happy with this purchase. With all the good things, however, there are also some downsides. First, the backlight is blindingly bright in the dark. Maybe provide a firmware update to adjust the screen's brightness, or sell something that fits over the eyepiece to dim the light. Second, I don't think this product has any type of water resistance. In any case, this is a great product and a great first night vision device and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to see in the dark without a flashlight.
