I think it was a very good deal. Basically all I had to do was delete the code on the computer I was fixing so I could see if I fixed the problem based on whether the code came back or not. Unfortunately the $%^&head I fixed the car for (for free!) didn't get a 7 day permit for his car to legally drive 60 or 70 miles or whatever to see if it comes back, but that's another matter. Problem. Anyway, I was able to clean up the code without too much trouble. This worked on a 1999 Taurus and a 2008 Rav4. That's all I used it for, but it worked.
