Good, good, bad and ugly. The backrest does exactly what I need it for - support on long rides. Semi-easy to install with a few modifications. The spring that sticks out of the assembly needs to be pushed either flush or deeper so it doesn't tear your seat apart. Also, I found that the backrest should recline further even in "fully reclined" mode - so with a little effort I got on the bike where I needed to be. The last problem was the screw that goes to the action plane. It's very long and difficult to put on and tighten, so I replaced it with the shorter one I had on hand. Aside from these (3) minor issues, it's cheaper than HD. You can put it on yourself. The continuous backrest offers excellent support on long journeys.
