"Spooktacular" is a great way to describe the new Luigi's Mansion 3 for Nintendo Switch. I bought the game digitally as soon as it came out. The download is only 6GB, which is surprising considering other games weigh at least 10GB. I like having Luigi's Mansion with me and not having to worry about a game cartridge. Revain's digital download service is also very simple: buy the game, get the download code, enter it in the online store, done! As for the game. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Luigi's Mansion. It's spooky, it's funny, it's full of puzzles and exploration. If you've never played a Luigi's Mansion game before, I would describe it as an exploration-driven, open-world adventure game. There's action, there's combat, there's puzzles to solve, there's a comeback, and plenty of loot to collect. You seriously can't go wrong here. Some of my favorite features in Luigi's Mansion 3: - The ability to defeat the ghosts that are being sucked in. Eventually, when you suck a genie into your vacuum, you'll have the option to press the "A" key and make the genie fall to the ground to drain its HP faster. This makes the process exciting and fun. I like when I smash the ghosts and the other ghosts stop and close their eyes for fear of getting hit by Luigi's anger. Other ghosts in the radius ALSO get hurt and lose health when you smash each other with ghosts. It's fun and perfect. - Open world hotel. Luigi's Mansion 3 is very similar to Super Mario Odyssey. You have the freedom to move around the huge hotel, you can go back as much as you like. The only elevator in the game is how you access the different 'worlds', each with a specific theme. Some floors are decorated in the theme of the hotel, like the warehouse, the rooms or the restaurant. The other floors are wild themed like the castle. I love how ridiculous these floors get later on and without ruining the game you'll actually have fun. - Puzzle. Luigi's Mansion 3 is full of puzzles. Some of them are action-based and require you to figure out an enemy's weakness before you can vacuum them up. Some puzzles are a bit slower, require patience and even some "out of the box" thinking to solve. New in this game is Gooigi. (Green sticky type on the front of the case) Googie is a jelly-like substance that the player can control. Guigi is not treated as an AI, players must switch between Luigi and Guigi. However, Guigi will remember to perform certain actions, e.g. B. sucking/blowing the vacuum cleaner or standing in a certain place. Guigi also has abilities that Luigi cannot use, such as B. go through spikes, duct grilles, ventilation shafts, etc. At first I thought I wouldn't want to use Guigi, but he's actually a very nice addition to the game and I can't stop using it. . What makes Guigi great is that his health bar is separate from Luigi's health bar. So if he falls unconscious, you can summon him again with no penalty. - Storyline. This is my second Luigi's Mansion game. I played Dark Moon on the 3DS but never got through. I love how all the characters from the Luigi's Mansion universe are returning in this game. It should be noted Professor E. Gadd. Minor spoilers ahead. Once you've unlocked the professor, he'll open a shop under the hotel, providing you with a safe haven from the spooky and twisted floors. In the lab, you can track your achievements and hidden gems on the floors, see the ghosts you've collected, play multiplayer, talk to the professor, browse his shop for items to buy, and all the characters chat that you've saved like. on the way. I like how many characters appear in this story. The sense of urgency to save everyone is real, and climbing those floors is a real treat. I also love the history of the hotel and it's a lot of fun to explore. - difficulty. I am a young adult gamer. I'm pretty good at video games. Luigi's mansion is quite ambiguous when it comes to complexity. Sometimes the range can be very simple. At other times, it can be such a strange experience as you look around the room trying to figure out what you need to do next until an "aha momentโ hits you and you understand. Some boss fights can be fun, others can be incredibly difficult until you figure out their weaknesses. Overall I think the challenge factor is absolutely there and both experienced and novices alike will find joy at the Last Resort. Overall, I think Luigi's Mansion 3 is a great must-have Switch game. I bought a digital copy for myself and also bought codes for my friends because I can't stop recommending this game. It's a wonderful experience, there's so much to do, it's one of my best games of 2019. Thank you Nintendo for this amazing experience!
