Review on 🔌 Plug N Play Remote Starter for Frontier 2008-2019, Start-X Brand, 3X Lock Remote Start, 10-Minute Install (with Immobilizer) by Chris Fields

I decided to buy this because I live where the wind blows in my face and I hate walking around warming up my truck. I have a 2018 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x. This will be important later in the review. I did some research and this was recommended by others. Installation is easy. It took me 30 minutes but I was moving slowly and taking my time organizing the wiring. Yes, it's a mess of cables for organization, but the clips only fit in certain places, so installation is really easy. One of the great advantages of this system is that you can keep your remote control. Just click on it three times. Wait a few seconds and it will start. Pretty smooth in that regard. And here's the negative. This may not affect everyone now, but for me it's a problem, a pretty big one. Once installed I lower the truck to 4lo and try to activate the rear locker. It does not work anymore. I unplugged the system and plugged everything back in as was and don't you know the locker works fine? I go back to install the starter and again my rear lock won't engage. I contacted the manufacturer and they advised me to unplug and plug back in. Not very helpful at all. Actually not very helpful. I did some research and others with pro 4x trim had the same issue. The SV trim level doesn't have a locker, so that's not a problem. Can I recommend this starter? Yes, I would recommend it to those who don't have a locker. But I'm just saying that the buyer should beware of those who have it. You may very well have the same problem. I use mine a lot and can just shut down the system as it's so easy I don't have to, but I can with the right planning. If I ever find myself in a situation where I need it fast, well that could be bad.
