Excellent value for money

I've had the same bar for twenty years. It's heavy and very well made (and made in the USA), but the lift arm is on a pivot and is designed to be an integral part of the lift. I made an extension for it to make it easier to lift. The downside is that if your bike is carried by a lift, the lifting bar will end up on the ground right in your path, which is very annoying when cleaning/handling your bike. It must remain attached as it will ultimately support the weight of the bike as it pivots. This new lift works just like my old one, but the lift legs are welded to it so the lift arm itself does not support the bike and can be removed once the bike is secured, leaving enough room to work around the bike without tripping on it sit on the lifting arm. I hope that makes sense. It's easy to use, but if you're a little squeamish about trying to hang onto the bike with one hand and pull the bar with the other, it's always easier to have someone sit on the bike and to hold it upright while you pull it. on the lift. The minute or two it takes someone to sit on is always better than dropping the bike and breaking/scratching $$$ parts. That may be because I've been doing this for quite some time, but I don't find it difficult to use. If you find it slips too much when you put it under your bike on a slippery garage floor, put an old piece of carpet or rubber mat underneath. I've tried them all and in my opinion the bar jacks are much more stable, especially on heavy HD. Once your bike is on it it will be rock solid and your bike will not go anywhere. I tried one of the hiss lifts and when the bike barely got off the ground it wasn't stable at all. Any strong jerk, and the bike would fall off him instantly. Sold at a flea market.
