I have a flatbed trailer. Unless I'm unhooked, I have no convenient way to keep my safety chains off the ground other than by throwing them over the drawbar. I'm going to drill a small hole in the pendant frame on each side and add a "shoulder eyelet" so I can easily hook the chain through the eyelet and keep it clean off the ground and out of the way. My setup provides enough slack in the chain to easily hook it in the stowed position, yet still allows me to easily disengage when I'm ready to hit the truck.
