We decided to get a filtered water dispenser on the sink and also needed a new faucet. So we bought a faucet with a spray built into the spout and used the spray opening for a drinking water faucet. water in our city from "good” to "good”; Except that sometimes it can smell like a swimming pool with all that chlorine. The Brita water jug has worked well for years, but the cost of cartridges increases over time (even regular ones). The installation went quickly. I once had the right tools to accomplish this. I didn't expect DuPont to supply them; Plumbing configurations are too varied to offer an assortment of valves and/or adapters. I take most of the blame for not thinking through how it all connects together, and a little for not looking up this information beforehand when Menard helped with the install. ****Note**** Mounting bracket is really useful but not . I repeat . Do not attach to drywall (not even with dowels)! Either attach it to an adjacent cabinet or do what I did and attach a sheet of plywood >= 1/2" to the back wall and then attach a board to it. All said and done: the water tastes great and enough water comes out to fill a jug (or Keurig water tank :)).
