Review on Motorcycle Tail Light LED Brake Light Rear Light with 1-inch Side Mount License Plate Bracket Holder for Harley Bobber Chopper Cruiser Custom Bike Honda Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki - by Amazicha by Kevin Fuentes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Built like a tank best in Lights

First, the mounting plate and bracket are made from Sherman tank. Second, the lantern itself appears to be aluminum or pan, but not plastic. The cords come with banana plugs, which was nice, but I quickly cut them off to use the plugs I had on hand, which revealed the biggest issue I had with this light, the quality of the cords. The wires are very thin, but have a lot of insulation, giving the appearance of automotive-grade 18 AWG wire. If it bothered me enough I would just solder a new wire to the board but so far it works fine but I had to cut the insulation in half and bend the lead to crimp and hold the red connector. The other thing is that the light part of the license plate gets lighter when you hit the brakes since all the lights come from the same circuit and only the colored lens changes color. Other people have isolated part of the license plate on the panel but that doesn't bother me much as it's bright enough when you hit the brakes and I just want to be seen. The mounting hole is big too, and I think it's for the rear axle. My volusia VL800 has a different bolt which I chose not to remove the rear wheel and I had to make my own huge washer because I didn't want to run to the depot.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Expensive
