Hello Amazon buyers. I have had this item since November 2019, remember you get what you pay for. If you are reading this please disassemble the unit and secure the wires going to the lamp assembly. They don't do a very good job of preventing the wires from rubbing inside the case and this WILL cause a short. Look at my pictures attached to my product and you will see where the friction is.

After a lot of effort I finally installed a brake light (not for bad design but just got it working on my bike), hooked it up and it worked, but during the sixth ride today, I noticed, that I have no stop signs. The device is switched on, but the LEDs do not work at all. I contacted the seller and he sent a replacement with no complaints or problems. Very impressive.

First, the mounting plate and bracket are made from Sherman tank. Second, the lantern itself appears to be aluminum or pan, but not plastic. The cords come with banana plugs, which was nice, but I quickly cut them off to use the plugs I had on hand, which revealed the biggest issue I had with this light, the quality of the cords. I think you can say you get what you pay for everything is fine and working, my problem was that after a few Rides looked at my taillight and it was hanging by its wires. Upon inspection, one screw fell out and another detached from the back of the hood housing. Yes I used Loctite so I'm not sure how a screw fell out but I was more disappointed with how the screw holding it ripped the mounting screw out of the back of the case. I will buy another one to replace this taillight

Light looked good on arrival. When I took it to the shop for installation, they found that the chaser was grounded to the ground plane and wasn't working. The actual light inside the case is held together with hot glue, that's all. Since it wasn't even glued on properly, the brake lights didn't work properly since the wires were grounded. After ordering 3 times I finally got the LED version as advertised. Much better than standard bulbs. Good design. Was very happy with this bracket and lamp. I read the reviews and was pretty optimistic. I was wrong. The bracket is well made, but the light was shorted out because of their cheap hot glue holding the motherboard together. I took it to the shop to make sure I really did everything right when connecting it. They dismantled the block and showed me exactly what was wrong.
